General Information

In the 1920's the famous Mount Stewart gardens were planted by Edith, Lady of Londonderry, and to this date these gardens are of international importance. The series of outdoor 'rooms' and vibrant parterres are simply beautiful, containing many rare plants that need the mild climate of Ards Peninsula to grow. The house tour includes paintings and stories about the prominent political figures to whom the Londonderry family played host.
